Semi Successful Week 1

I had decided after the first 3 days of school and all that multiple classes in one day thing needed to go into "clumped" classes for my boys. Now THAT seemed to work great! Obviously they have some classes they like better than others. So those classes go slightly smoother. They are in 1st and 3rd grade but the school made it easier on me and gave them the 2nd grade History, Science and Art together. However, my 3rd grader keeps complaining about getting the "harder" Math and Language Arts stuff. I have to keep reminding him that he is older and that in 2 years his brother will be doing the exact same school work he is doing now. That seems to make it better for him. If he can put it into his own head that one day his little brother gets to do the same thing, then he is all good with doing it first. LOL

I plan to sit at the "school area" tomorrow(today because it is now 2:30am) and get their work all mapped out for them again this week. I think we may change up some of the order this week though. I think Monday will be their Language Arts, Tuesday is going to be Art (we need a short day, I have another dentist appointment), Wednesday - Math, Thursday can be Science and Friday can be History! Friday will end up being easier that way since they seem to love that class and cruise right through it! I think that may be how they have the History class being more interactive and not just a site and listen class. They get stories red to them and they do clapping word games that they love! Also, we go over most of the information just the 3 of us and then review around the rest of the family.

I wish I had more photos to get up here for everyone to see but my phone and it's connection cable to my computer have been having a disagreement this evening! Thus the almost 3 am blog post! I have been attempting to get the Nokia program to work with my phone and I have no idea why it isn't working. Yes, my phone is in fact a Nokia, that is not the issue. LOL Once I can get all my photos onto my computer, I will get them into a new post. I was able to get a few just before my phone and cable first disagreed. Here they are:

P.s. I warn you, they are older photos! For some reason my phone was not letting my computer have them until today!

Picnic in the Dollar Stores lawn! LOL
This was in June or July!
Me and ALL 4 boys, photo by my Mom!

And now I can show a couple more recent photos.....

He will chew on the lid non-stop!

Mr. Cheerio Face!
He had just taken a Cheerio from me and was munching on it!
At least he is polite enough to chew with his mouth closed! LOL

Well, since that is really all I can show for now I better be going! I have a slightly busy day planned tomorrow and I will most likely appreciate the sleep in the morning! Good Night all! (Or good morning!)

Kicking Off September!

Welcome to September Everyone!

My 2 Home Schooling Kiddos
hard at work on History Day!
They completed loved school in PJ's! LOL
It has been an extra busy week here at my house! Monday was pretty laid back, did some relaxing. Sort of the same on Tuesday. Wednesday was the first day of school as I had said previously. That was one busy crazy hectic day! I had to have each of the boys online and in a class at a certain time and the OLS (online school) kept having issues. Every time we had to be logged and in a class their server would go down! It started to feel like their entire site hated me! But I guess a lot of parents, students and teachers were all having the same issue. I think we will have a better time with it this week since I spent a good chunk of my weekend "chunking" their classes so that we can do one to two subjects a day, get in all the hours we need to get in and not feel like chickens with our heads cut off!

Enjoying the park for his
Big Brother's P.E. class
I am sure as with all things, it will take time! The enjoy their P.E. class a lot! Go outside, run, walk, swim... They may also play any Wii Sports games or physical household chores! Yippee!!!! Chores!!!! I mean, Wii!!! LOL I suppose it is a good thing we do not have one of those! I think my boys would try to spend all school in their P.E. class. I have found it easy to get the class done however since I do have some very active kiddos! We took the time on Friday to go to the Park in town and have some P.E. time there! And everyone got to play! (Obviously the 4 year old and Baby came with us!) The first few days were pretty easy with the little ones. The husband was able to entertain them for the most part while school was going on with the occasional stop for me to nurse the baby. This coming week, starting tomorrow, the 4 year old will either be learning with his new Pre-K book or on the computer playing Plants vs Zombies! I bought it for the entire family on Saturday and put it onto our "old" desktop computer so he could learn how to play it. He is doing pretty good for only being 4 years old and not really understanding that you have to place the plants so that you stop the zombies. Not just watch everything move on the screen! LOL He will get the hang of it though, I know he will!

The baby..... My how he has grown.... He still loves to nurse and cuddle which I am so happy about! I have no clue what I will do once he decides he doesn't want to cuddle and/or nurse! I ma be crushed when that day comes! Anyways, here are some photos of the little Monkey boy!All taken within the last week or two....

A boy and his.... spoon?
He was having a blast with his spoon!

Hanging out by the tub while I got ready for the day!

Being adorable in a ducky bib we handed

He LOVES that cat!
Gets super excited each time he sees him!
Laughing at Big Brother!
I can hardly believe that he is 9 months old! Such a little cutie too! I know it sounds funny, but when I was asked how I got such cute baby pictures I replied with "You gotta have cute kids to start!" I know my boys are adorable, handsome, cute, pretty.... pick a word, it describes them all!(as long as it is a good word!) LOL I love my boys!

Anyways, we finished off our school week and I could tell they were happy to be going into their first weekend of the school year. I am glad to have them away from all of those bullies and bad influences at the brick and mortar school! They will be meeting some of their fellow class mates at the end of the month! Hopefully we will be able to make some new friends in the area and have some fun! They may also be doing swim lessons or yoga at the local rec center! I am super excited for that. I think we will be getting a family pass and then we can all go exercise at once! But that has not been decided just yet!

Well all... I know it has been a while and this doesn't seem like a great deal of info, but I am now tired and I shall leave you for now, but hopefully not for too long!

In the mean time, please enjoy a cup of coffee with the oldest boy....

Sippin' his Saturday Morning Cup of Joe!
Yes, I give my kids coffee!
And....?????

School Starts Wednesday!

Yup, that is correct! I have had some nice chats with both of my boys' "teachers" and I have gotten the Introduction to Online Learning completed and it is time to go, go, go with the school thing!

I spent part of tonight cutting and gluing a few things together for them to have ready for their Math and Science classes and I have a few more small things to buy to complete other smaller parts to their school collection.

I have tomorrow to finish their Advanced Prep for the week because school starts Wednesday! Yikes! It is somewhat nerve wracking since I have found some points of confusion. Such as, the said to label 3.5" x 5" note cards with the numbers, 5, 6, 6, 8, 9, 9 and then label 5 more even and 4 more odd. I had started to assume that this meant that I needed the actual eve number itself written on the card. I got smart and pulled out the book labeled "Learning Guide Math 3" They had photo examples! LOL

I shall scurry around and get the final things for school tomorrow ready to go Wednesday! One kiddo has his Kick Off Meeting online at 10:30 AM and then the other has his Welcome Group at 11 AM! Then they have their Math class followed by another online class and then they will go into Science, History, Art and Language Arts for the remainder of their School day. The will have a Minimum of 4.5 hours a day and a maximum of 6 hours. Their Teachers both said not to let them get burnt out too fast. As long as they have a minimum of 2.5% of each course done each week, they will complete them all on time! Yippee!

Wish us luck!

I hope to be back sooner rather than later with more photos of the kiddos and other things that have been going on! Like I said, It has been a busy week!

I also have the review on my Aunt's Product still brewing in my brain. Sorry Auntie... I keep running out of hours in the day! I will get your review and product up as soon as I can!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day(Celebrate all those "Laboring Mom's" LOL-My Mother will understand that one!) Stay Safe All!

9 months old and just a handsome lil' man!
