Another Post! Yikes! *Rambling Alert*

I know, strange for me to be posting so much. I guess I just feel like I have something to say lately!

Yesterday, July 29th, was my older sister's Birthday! Yippee... Happy Birthday Sis! She writes Diary of a Mad Housegirl and is expecting her first child in October. Her other half bought her the neatest gift! It is a Laboratory Beaker Mug! She loves it and he knows her oh so well! I think it is awesome that they have that relationship where he knows what to get her and that she will love it and that will be that! They know each other so well! And over the last 8-9 years he really has become the brother I never had. And a great Uncle! I am thrilled beyond worlds for them to finally be having a baby! They have watched me have 4 of them and now that I am finished having babies they are about to start.

As far as the gifting thing goes.... I hardly ever know what to get adults! Kids are easy to shop for! This year the themes can be as easy as World of Warcraft (the8 year old), Dinosaurs or Paleontology stuff (the 6 year old), things that light up or move or coloring supplies (the 4 year old) and of course baby tools for both my little man and my newest nephew. I even hope to get a package to my niece and nephew on my Hubby's side of the family. At this point it may just be the hand crafted stuff we are able to make between now and then along with pictures and a card! It is all a matter of money! For the adults in my family though, I am lost 90% of the time! My sister's other half is the easiest to shop for though, $10 gift card at Barns & Noble and he is covered! My Hubby, somewhat similar, but still difficult. Gift cards are a great gift for other family members, but your husband... Eh... Not always the greatest of ideas! LOL! Of course, he was given a $10 Barns & Noble gift card for his Birthday and he just recently bought himself a new book. Which was great! Because, hey, new book! It just doesn't seem too personal. To me it feels like I am not putting too much thought into the gift for my significant other (the word significant really does mean someone special, not just another person! LOL) like my sister's significant other did! I am sure he put a lot of thought into that gift! Me, I think I would be an easy person to shop for. I love pink and girly! LOL. This year though, I already mentioned to my mother, I would love the money to go get my Tattoo's "finished". I have my 2 older boys' names on my legs and I need to add the 2 younger boys' names to my legs as well. However, that doesn't complete them by any means! But the 2 names are the most important step and the thing I want done most! After that it will be time to complete them all. Here is how, I want to put their birth date written out under their names like this:

August Eighth (followed by the year in numbers)

     November Seventeenth (year)

          February Twenty-ninth (year)

               November Twenty-sixth (year)

That way it looks, from a distance, like the names are underlined! I have yet to decide if these will be in colors the boys like or black or in a color of my choosing! The boys' favorite colors right now are Yellow, Blue, Red and then the baby is stuck with whatever other color there is to pick from even if that color is purple or pink! LOL

Above their names I would like to get their Zodiac Animals! I lucked out and all 4 of my boys have a different Zodiac. I have a Leo (Lion), a Scorpio (scorpion), a Pieces (2 fish) and last a Sagittarius (the Centaur) and I would really like to eventually get the added color of those animals in there with their names (done in all black). I just need to find a Tattoo Parlor that will do them for around the same price as the first 2 were done ($40 each!) and then I will be set to go!

Aside from Tattoos, a little breakfast in bed and jewelry (the good stuff! LOL) would be nice! Time to soak in the bath and relax, read a book, watch a movie with my family... Just enjoy the day that my Mommy made me, me!

That is just me rambling. I said I felt I had something to say, I never said it was truly important! LOL!

If you are still reading my ramble I thank you and I hope you return again soon! I hope to have another post up within the next few days! For now, I hope you enjoyed my ramble and as always.....

A Day Out... And in some pain!

Started off my day by poaching eggs for the first time! Yippee.... Not! Turns out, I do not care for them! But, they were on my meal plan for the week and I felt I just had to attempt them once. And I will not be attempting that mistake again! I was not thrilled with the process or the outcome! Here are some of the photos from my breakfast today...

Poached eggs on Tomato, Avocado and Muenster:

Eggs poaching for my Mom!
She likes her yoke more runny than I do,
but I didn't get them cooked enough either... Oops!

My eggs waiting to be poached!
These are "farm fresh" or Spokane fresh at least! LOL

2 slices of tomato, 1/2 an avocado and 1 slice of muenster cheese!

Top with poached eggs, salt, pepper and Paprika and enjoy!

We had to go do our banking thing to do and at the same time my face was still hurting! I managed to keep myself "medicated" but that only helped so much! After the bank we were able to stop by Wal-Mart for cat food, we found they had none as we were getting ourselves ready to be out and about for the day and then I made a quick stop over at our favorite Fruit and Veggie stand! (The name escapes me at the moment but it is in the Wal-mart/Skippers parking lot) The guy there was great and had all my veggie shopping list filled within minutes! I had to modify my Cherry Tomato purchase slightly because he doesn't carry them, but I was able to pick up some Golden's that are super yummy! And I think I got way more of them for $5 than I do of the Cherry Tomatoes at the store!

Happy as a clam, playing with cantaloupe container!
After the store stops we headed to a park to eat lunch and then the kiddos got to play. Me, I just wanted to sleep or cry... It was a toss up at times! The boys have the park routine down really good now! They help carry the cooler and whatever else we need to the decided eating spot, they sit down and eat all the food they are given and then they get to go play! The baby eats his baby food or nurses, depending on how long it has been since he got to nurse.

After lunch and play time, none of them wanted to leave!
Thus the glares!
We ended up leaving before I had planned because I looked over to see my oh so sweet 4 year old pushing another child off a toy because he wanted to play on it! I was needless to say not happy about that. When they asked why we were leaving I told them what I saw and that I saw the 2 older boys just stand back and not do anything to stop their brother. They of course denied the entire thing. I guess because I am a Mom I am now suddenly blind! Ha ha... yeah, okay! Finally I got them to stop complaining and just get into the car. This is always the hardest part for them. They tend to throw fits and continue to complain until they think they will get their own way, which is never!

When I am out with my kids I tend to go a little bit too picture crazy I think! But, Hey! Pictures are memories! And I want to make sure my kids have a lot of really good long lasting memories as kids! I fiddled with my "not-so-smart" phone the other day and created some neat photos with borders and text on them. I posted one of the baby on my last post that is actually the background on my phone right now. I had a photo of all 4 boys and myself, I think I looked HUGE! But that had to change when I found a better picture to put on there. LOL! Yesterday I put my phone into the camera mode and then I turned the Sepia effect on! I love this kind of photo. They always look really good in my opinion. Some of them are blurry because old age started to set in and my hand was starting to shake pretty bad. I took several of some of the same poses, but here are the ones I felt turned out the best out of all of the Sepia Photos I took..... One of each of my Handsome little boys of course....

My soon-to-be 8 year old!
Getting to be a pretty handsome little fella!
The 6 year old...
He looks a lot like his Daddy!
Oddly enough, somewhat like My Dad as well! LOL

The 4 year old,
I do not know how to get him to stop making that scared look.
He does it every time you go to take his picture.

8 months old!
I can not believe he is already 8 months old!
He is getting way too big, way too fast!
Love him!
All of my kids teach me something new each day. How to love, care and just be grateful for everything I have in life. I may not have a large expensive home (a couple more bedrooms would be nice) or a lot of money, but I love my family and I would not trade any of them for all the money in the world! My kids, my Husband, my Mother, my Sister, my Brother-in-law and my new little nephew who will be here in a few short months... I love you all so much and I can not imagine a world without any of you!

As far as my low carb diet goes, I have put myself back on the 2 week induction but I think I will stick to the induction meal plans for a little longer. My mother and I are restarting the current week due to stopping on Thursday because I could not eat. I do all the cooking, so unless I cook the meal for my mom she ends up eating different and in the long run that isn't such a great idea for this diet. I lost around 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks and I would love to lose a whole lot more. In fact, I need to lose a whole lot more. So, I ordered some Zumba DVDs! Yippee! They should be here in the next few days (7-10 days for the payment program)!!! I paid $14.95 for 7 DVDs and a set of 1 lb weights. I get them for 30 days and then if I keep them I make 3 payments of roughly $25! Pretty nifty deal as long as they help me get to exercising and loosing even more weight! The weight I lost the last 2 weeks was with no actual exercise. Walking around a store for an hour is not real exercise in my opinion. LOL However, it is fun to do! I think with that added exercise and the good eating lifestyle I should start slimming down rather well! I know I need to get a full body photo up here, but... I hate my gut and I am not sure I want to show it to the world! LOL. I may be brave enough some day soon. Only time will tell. I think that before it cools off outside I will get a photo taken so that it can be a photo of me in my suit. Those are what you always see people in in the dieting ads isn't it? Oh well, I will think about it and everyone can be surprised or disgusted when I post it!

Chillin' in his stroller chewing on his strap!
As always when he can reach them!

Odd, Long week.... I envy perfect teeth!

I do not have, by any means, perfect teeth. If anything I have some of the worst teeth in the world! I would gladly trade anyone who has never had any dental pain for my teeth! I woke up Tuesday with a splitting headache! By Tuesday night my right cheek started to swell up. Come Wednesday it was even larger and by Wednesday night I was on my way to show my dentist my swollen cheek. He decided to send me home with some pain killers for the night and that he wanted me in the emergency clinic first thing the next morning (they open the ER clinic at 7:15am). So, I go get my Rx and then go home, swelling does not stop for anything! By the time I get into the dentist in the morning on Thursday, I look like I have one of those giant jaw breaker candies in my cheek and it felt like I was sucking on one of those but instead of the jaw breaker getting smaller, it just kept getting bigger and bigger! So, my wonderful dentist, did an extraction on one of the teeth he had previously done a filling on. The "tooth" was 90% filling. However, that was the fastest extraction I have every had at that clinic. Although, the Novocaine wore off rather fast which had me in pain shortly after leaving their office. (not a normal thing for me) I got to take a look at the tooth and even though it was nasty looking, I feel loads better for having it removed.  The tooth cracked and broke slightly while being extracted and I was able to see where the infection came from and how deep that filling had gone. My face is still partially swollen and still hurts like I was repeatedly punched in the face! I would love to curl up in a ball and cry until the pain goes away (pain killers are not having too much of an effect on me and I do not know why) I have been put on a stronger Antibiotic and narcotics along with a "Rx" for the dosage of over the counter medication. I alternate between the two pain killers. I have also been having a hot pack or ice pack on it non-stop to help bring down the swelling, not having the best results with that either! However, laying down with my face on a warm/hot wash cloth feels so good! I really hope this goes away fast.

Right cheek, sore and swollen! :-(
Left cheek, normal and no swelling

The first time this happened to me was 5 days before my wedding and I had to pray and pray and pray that the medication I had been put on would work. And sure enough, come the morning of my wedding, NO swelling! I was so happy. In this case, if the swelling and pain doesn't subside I am to go back in and have yet another tooth extracted. (blah)

In other news, the baby had to go back into the pediatricians office on Tuesday (after being there on Tuesday the week before) so that she could hear his breathing and check out his wheezing and cough. The 4 yr old was having the exact same issues so I ended up asking if they could squeeze him in at the same time. We ended up taking them both in (my mother and I, hubby took the 2 oldest and went home after our Tuesday movie) and they ended up needing nebulizer treatments in the office. They both got new medications and the 4 yr old got a steroid shot to get his medicine jump started. Needless to say, he was so not happy with us! But, he is getting better! And so is the baby thankfully! Poor little guy had a runny nose and was congested and has been since birth!

I edited this pic on my phone and added the frame and his name.
The white around him is the "protective paper" they have at the pediatricians.
This was the first visit.
He completely loves the paper on those "beds" at the doctors office. It ends up demolished each and every time. They have tons of that stuff though so I am positive it is fine he does that. My 4 year old almost had a fit the other day and did not want his little brother making such a mess! I finally got him to calm down about it by telling him that they do in fact have more of it somewhere.

This is the second trip to the pediatricians....

The 4 yr old having his nebulizer treatment.
His brother didn't get the neat ducky!

He was having a blast making the paper move!
I think it is mostly the sound he loves!

Enjoying brother bonding time at the doctor! LOL
If I hadn't said anything I bet others would not guess their location!

So far my 6 yr old is the only is the only one to not really develop anything "new" this year. I can almost bet that by the end of the year, he figures out something! LOL

The Dark Monk.... My Review on the book....

If you haven't caught on from reading other posts, I am a BzzAgent. Basically, I am sent items to review and then give out my opinion. Using word of mouth advertising and my opinion, you buy the item and enjoy it for yourself. I am only on my second campaign so far, my first was Dr. Scholl's For Her High Heel Inserts (I still have 12 $4.00 off coupons for anyone who is interested) but those did not get their own dedicated post for their review! Anyways, The Dark Monk....

The books were sent directly to my Kindle Fire within a week of signing up for the campaign. Unlike others who also signed up and have Kindle Fire's, I have not had any issues with getting the book to load on the screen. I received both The Hangman's Daughter and The Dark Monk at the same time. In the start of The Hangman's Daughter I was thrown at first. The main character, Jakob Kuisl, is a 12 year old boy who wants to become the Hangman himself. A 12 year old? Yikes! He had seen hangings and such before, his first at age 6! I am not giving much away there, if you read just the first few pages, you get that much. However, the Author of this book, Oliver Pötzsch, tends to go a little too far into detail on some things for me. To me, a book with extra detail, makes it boring and snore, possibly drool, worthy! Which is what makes it difficult for me to get into the books. I have a great imagination, so reading extra detail is not something I enjoy!

However, that was just the start of The Hangman's Daughter. I got into The Dark Monk a lot faster and easier. It seems Pötzsch may have fixed some of his long drawn out details, not too much though. I still had to step away from the book just a few pages in and could not get myself interested in it again!

If you like books with a darker side, they are both available on Amazon.com!

Click the following links to get them going for yourself!

Feel free to leave me any of your own comments on the books. I don't feel I was able to give these books my all right now and I just can not make myself read them. I will keep them on my Kindle until I can read them. That time is just not now! Thank you for letting me share this with you! I hope that you enjoy the books if you read them!

Poor Little Guy... (short one)

My baby boy is a sick Lil' Baby! I feel so bad for him. I have noticed since he was born that he has always sounded congested. We are talking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week congested. Little man can not catch a break when it comes to a stuffed up nose. Well, when we were in the Portland/Vancouver area we noticed (My mother mostly but I noticed too) that he sounded even more congested than before and that his snoring had gotten louder. You can tell he is asleep because you can hear it! So, I had to call and set up his 9 month appointment (the one where he gets immunizations) anyways so I figured, 2 birds - 1 stone! I was able to get him into see HIS doctor (there are around 10 pediatricians at his clinic and the one he has just so happens to have been my sister's pediatrician when she was diagnosed Diabetic, but that is another story!) rather quickly! She was on vacation at the time when I called but I was able to get him in there to see her this week! I took him to the clinic she works out of part time that is in another town, but it is worth it to have the one doctor I trust take care of my little boy! She listened to his lungs and asked if he always sounded "wheezy". I informed her that yes, most of the time he did but that I had always figured he had a "tooth cold" (the kind babies get while cutting teeth). He has some sort of an infection that is causing him to wheeze from every inch of his little baby lungs. This is scary because I do not want anything to ever happen to any of my kiddos. But, she put him on antibiotics with hopes that it will clear up his infection (it just so happens that I too am on the same medicine and had to double check I wasn't over dosing him by Breast Feeding while we were both on the medicines!) and if he still has the cough he has been having by Monday, I have to call her and let her know and she will want him in to get breathing treatments started. I really hope that the antibiotics will clear it up and that he doesn't have to go through all that extra stuff.

He found a Starbucks drink stopper while waiting for Grandma!
I mentioned I was on antibiotics.... Well, that would be because I just had my first ever FULL root canal done! I have had them started in the past and just "capped off" to finish later. My new dentist doesn't want to do anything else until all 4 root canals are done. (1 down, 3 to go!) He is making the exception and doing some front surface fillings between the root canals though. He know I am a happy person and that I like to smile. It killed me having to go 3+ months without smiling big because I didn't want people to see my black teeth. Now, once he finishes the surface work I can be all smiley again! LOL! Until then it is half smiles all the way! The reason behind the blackened teeth was due to a Silver Nitrate treatment I gave the okay to do. After the 1st dose I was so mad I let them do it. My teeth did not look as bad as they do now that I have completed all 5 treatments! The first treatment is a pretty heavy dose, then 2 weeks later you go in and have the second treatment. The 3rd treatment happens 4 weeks after the 2nd and then 4 more weeks until the 4th, followed by yet another 4 weeks! I hated it. The plus, I had ZERO tooth pain during my treatment. Just 3 days after my last treatment, my teeth started acting up again! Go figure, right? Anyways, They are being taken care of now! So it is alright!

I will update on the baby when I know more about his situation. I hate for him to be sick, he sounds so pitiful! He actually falls asleep on me easier when he is sick, and he falls harder! The big down fall, I hate he is having nursing issues! I am so not ready to stop nursing him. This is the longest any of my babies have nursed and I would like to go about 2 years or more with him. We have gotten passed the teething thing and he only bites on occasion and I am able to get him to stop that rather fast.

Baby Shower Hand-made Gifts By Me!

So! We had my sister's baby shower last weekend and even though not many people showed as I had hoped, enough did that my sister got a lot of great stuff! Some of that stuff was from my Mother and I! Of course! And I have PICTURES!!!! Ha ha!

FIRST! This is my first quilt ever and I was so proud of it! Obviously!!! LOL I had to post all the photos of it that I had so that you could see all the neat details! The materials I got to make this blanket were all fat squares, so I got them for a great deal! There was Blue, Orange, Green and Yellow for the solid colors and then I found some assorted fat squares that just so happened to match! They had alphabet letters and gators and helicopters on them but they were all different! This was also made when we weren't sure if the baby was a boy or girl and I am glad that it worked out that the quilt looked slightly more boy. The backing is a minky style backing that I still have some left over to make a Mombo cover with and some extra material as well. I also have extra after that I can make other things with! (If my sister makes me a pattern for her nursing pillow I will be using some of it to make a cover for her as well, she has a different nursing pillow) And then I got silky binding for the edging. I absolutely love this quilt and I now have enough material (Thank You to my Cousin) to make more quilts! And a super Thank You to my Mother who was there helping me create this quilt for my sister (pouring her sweat and blood into it, blood literally as she randomly started bleeding after being poked by a pin) and bringing me wisdom from her Mother and Grandmother that without her help I would never have! I hope everyone enjoys the photos... There are several! My 4 year old even made it into one!

NEXT, there is the "wet bag" I made for my sister! I figured that I know how it is to have to run out the door with a baby and be going fast and not want to forget anything. So, I made her this bag to hang by her door with a couple cloth diapers and wipes plus any other things she sees fit inside of it. (I also made cloth wipes for her, 20 of them, I hope to show those here too! LOL)

To make this bag I took 2 different types of yarn and began to make them on my largest knitting loom. The base color was a pale yellow (6 weight) and the other yarn was a multiple baby color (2 weight) yarn. I simply used them at the same time to create this beauty. Once I got the bag to the length I felt it needed to be I ended it and closed one end and turned it inside out. The second picture shows that it was "supposed" to look like, but I liked the other side better. Then, I took my smallest loom and created a " double pocket" just smaller than the bag itself, in height, and attached it to the front. (I actually attached it at a slant at first so I had to detach it and then had my Mother pin it in place and reattached it.) After the pocket was on there my Mother attached the strap and the lining (she did those with her new sewing machine we had to get because her old one broke mid project on the 4th of July!) and then all I had to do was fill it with baby goodies! My sister really seemed to like this gift. It was the first one she wanted to look at again after the shower was over! He he he... I am really glad I was able to get this finished (with lots of help from my mom) in time for the shower. It was the first gift started, but the last thing finished! Eek!

Outside of bag, still on the knitting loom!

Inside the bag!

Interior of the finished bag! I love it!
Finished Bag with PUL liner,
strap and pocket both attached!

THIRD, we have the cloth diaper wipes I made for her and baby. This was a really neat idea from a website I will provide the link to at the end of the post. On the site you are supposed to use chenille, but that stuff costs $15-20 a yard!!!! Yuck! So I chose to use terry cloth instead, only $9 per yard and I think they are extra cute! I fell in love with these other 2 materials as soon as I found them in the store too! In any case, I took my 4 materials (white terry cloth, green terry cloth, green with owls and blue with barn yard animals) and cut them into 8"x8" squares each and ended up with 10 of each. Next up was putting them together with the printed material on the inside of the project. My Mother was nice enough to pin all the squares in place so that all I had to do was sew them together with leaving a 1" or so gap so I could turn then inside out and have the print on the outside so it could be all cute! Once I had them sewn together, the corners cut to avoid bulking and flipped right side out my Mother was kind enough to go around the edge using various different stitches (this would be what we were working on when the old machine decided to stop working properly so we had to drive to town and buy a new sewing machine!) to make them flat (and cuter! LOL) I then placed them into a new "wipe container" (the cute decorative kind that HUGGIES now sells and that I "stole" the disposable wipes out of for my little guy so I could have the container for this project!). My sister has this Make Your Own wipe solution that she is making for her baby (we have some that I need to use on the baby, I just keep forgetting it is here) and I figured she could soak the cloth wipes I made her in that and be good to go! I was super tempted to keep some of these to use on my little guy, but I wised up and gave all 20 of them to my sister! I ended up having some in almost every gift I gave her. In the bag above was also a travel wipes container (funny thing is that it is also a HUGGIES container) and inside of it there was, I believe, 2 of each design.  I was so happy to have been able to make something for her that I am 98.8% sure she will use! I have 2 extra small ones here that I plan to use on my guy once I relocate them! (they were my first 2 and they ended up being half the size of the ones she got and I plan on using them as face wipes at the table with meals!)

Semi finished owl cloth

Total of 10 Barn yard clothes/wipes

(with matching dots on the side)

For the fourth project I am posting here we have the Travel and Home bathroom totes I made for her. You use a hand towel or a wash cloth for the main part of it. I chose the green color because she is thinking of doing greens and browns in her little man's bedroom. Then you need the rick rack and ribbon (2 types if you want it the way I did, I have a decor ribbon and the tying ribbon) and thread to match the main part (towel or cloth).

First things first, attach the ribbon and rick rack to the cloth so that it goes down just one end. then you want to pin the cloth in place so that you can sew pockets to hold all the goodies inside of it. I actually put all the stuff on top and pinned on either side and then sewed where I had pins. Then I sew in one last piece of ribbon (about 16" folded in half to make two 8" pieces, do not cut it, that will make this harder on you!) at the last closing pocket stitch. Now you can load it up, roll it up, tie it and you are good to go! I did the 2 different ones because I wanted my sister to have both. I also ended up putting snaps on the smaller one to ensure that all of its smaller goodies stayed inside of it.

All the supplies!

Ribbon side 1

Ribbon side 2

White Rick Rack

1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel

Rick Rack and ribbon attached and folded and pinned in place

Finished and rolled up and tied in place!
Finished and unrolled to see all the goodies inside!
(See some of the wipes made it in there too...)

Lastly, here are the gifts all wrapped and set out for the party along with the "Jar O Gifts" that was not only a huge gift, but it was a party game as well! My Mother and I had a ton of extra stuff we had made and put it all into this giant glass jar that we had and went everyone came into the shower they got to guess how many items they thought were in there. Everyone was shocked to find out that there was only 49 items in the and not the 100s they were guessing! LOL. It was a fun day and I enjoyed seeing my sister get all her gifts and I also enjoyed seeing some family.

And here is that LOVELY site I got so many great ideas from and some I am still looking at making. Not only for my little nephew but also for my little guy too! Go here! And enjoy your own crafting!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I have always enjoyed watching the fireworks at the top of the Butte in town be lit off each Fourth! However, lighting off my own fireworks off has never amused me! I am always more afraid I will light my hand on fire instead!

My dog, though not as bad as my sister's dog. Is always frightened by this Holiday. He will spend his evening attached to my hip and/or under foot. My sister's dog will be wetting herself and hiding under the bed. I hope people remember their animals tonight and don't just light off fireworks without considering their dogs! Dogs do have better hearing and those whistling fireworks kill my ears every time! So please please please remember your pets tonight and make sure they are okay. More animals "run away" on the Fourth of July (and during Thunderstorms) than during the rest of the year! If you love your pets... take great care of them tonight!

My boys and I, with the exception of the oldest, will be missing out on the fireworks this year. I did not buy any and Dad works tonight. Unless I can find a good display on my computer to watch, it will be a no firework night. I might be able to take the boys outside to watch the neighbor kids and their fireworks, but I think it might just be a firework-less night. And that is alright as well. My oldest, who is in Washington, is going to be watching the World of Warcraft fireworks rather than going out to watch them there. He had said he wanted to do that before they even left to go up there too.

In any case, enjoy your Fourth of July and take care of your pets!

Preparing for the big baby shower!

With getting ready for my sister's baby shower on Saturday, I have been sort of scrambling around trying to get projects done so that she gets more than one gift from me (which is all I have 100% completed). I was finally able to finish one project the other day, which was a no sew project so it was finished rather quickly. I then started another that I have been working on and all that is left now is the sewing part. Yippee!!!

I wish I could share photos of the things I am working on, but how much fun would that be if my sister were to read this and see the photos... Not much! Not much fun at all. So... Until after Saturday, y'all gotta wait! Sorry! But I promise, I will share with every one what I made for my sister and her baby. My Mother is helping a lot with finishing touches on all these things too. There is one thing I am slightly panicked about, but I am sure that if I do not have it done for the shower, she will get it before the baby gets here.

My oldest son is with my sister now and when I spoke to him on the phone the other day, he was super excited! He always gets his birthday gifts from his Aunt and Uncle early. He spends the time around the 4th of July with them every year (this could be his last year with them though) since they moved up to Washington(5ish years ago). Last year they gave him his own laptop computer (he has been on computers since he was about 4 months old!!!) and he has had a blast with it. One of his favorite things to do while at their house is to play World of Warcraft on their computers. Well, that is what they got him, on his computer, for his birthday this year! Apparently he had been spending all his time on his Aunts computer playing from there but now that they got it up and running on his computer, he is even happier! LOL His words to me were: "Mom! I am playing WOW on MY computer!!! It is sooo cool!" It was great to hear him so excited! Of course, I seem to remember that he had the same sort of response last year when he got the computer! Still, it is cute how excited he gets!

My 6 year old is working on his behavior while his brother is gone, and this is working out well too! My Mother and I discussed giving him 1 Quarter for each full hour he is good during the day. This means that he does everything he is told and does not back talk and is not rude and we do not have to remind him of his manners more than once, if that! He loved the idea! And as a bonus, for each 8 hours straight that he doesn't lose any Quarters, he gets one extra Quarter! The most he has made in one day I believe is 13 Quarters and this has only been going on for 3 days! LOL and we told him we would keep up this earning money thing for the entire time his older brother was out of town and that he is not allowed to spend any of his money until we go to Portland for the Baby Shower! The reason we went with 8 hours is because that was about how long he was away from home and working on his behavior while in school. From the time he left home, until he came back home each day. He has been doing great. Most of the time all we have to do is remind him that he will lose the Quarter if he acts up and that snaps him back into good behavior real fast. He wants to earn the money and he truly wants to be a good kiddo! He has had his moments, he lost 2 quarters ion a row tonight. So, see, no kid is perfect! Ha ha! He also did not enjoy his second week of camp as much as his first. He said his Dinosaur class was boring. And I would have to agree. The dinosaur teacher did not seem as enthused as the twisty tales teacher did. And this kiddo has decided that he wants to be a Paleontologist when he grows up and I think that is AWESOME!!! But oh well, win some and lose some! Not all teachers can be #1, that would defeat the purpose! LOL!

The 4 year old has been sort of being his normal crazy and wacky self! But that is him! He has decided that he does not like our bigger pool again this year and that he does not want to get into it. I wish I could get him to realize how much fun it is and keep him calm. I almost had him there the other day but he just kept yelling in my face to let him out of the pool, so I did. Other than the pool thing yesterday he has been good and taking all his medicines and he even stays on top of it! I guess the kid likes to feel well rather than sick all the time. Go figure! Since his most recent doctor visit, he has had less of an issue with his allergies. Of course, he has a mommy who gives him allergy medicines and his inhaler like they are his life support! Which is how it should be, because they are. And this kid is the easiest as far as taking his medicine. He sits there and breaths in on his puffer machine for his inhaler and then picks up the allergy medicine and takes it and then puts his head back and is ready for his eye drops, they go into his eyes and his blinks away the extra stuff and he is good to go!

The baby, he is still low on the growth charts, but someone has to be there! Last doctor appointment he had they said he was still below the 10th percentile for weight but he was shooting up there on his head and length! I know that my son is healthy and happy. He does not have to be a chunky baby... I know a fat baby is a happy baby, but this kid just does not put on the weight like other kids do! I do not know why, he just doesn't. A lot of people have been asking me in stores lately how old he is and when I say 7 months they say things like "There is no way!" or "Is he ill?".... No, he is not ill and Yes, he is 7 months old! Another lady asked his age and after her reaction of "no way!" I told her he was 9 pounds at birth and her reply was the best I have heard ever..... "What is he now, 10?!?!?!" LMBO!!!! Too funny! I seriously laughed out loud at her for saying that. He is creeping up on the 20 pound mark, but not too fast! He is just a happy little baby!

As far as the diet goes, I am stuck on my same weight for a while now. My Mother and I have discussed doing sit ups to lose more belly fat and I think that is a great idea! I also need to start getting up, eating breakfast and then going for a walk with the kiddos (at least the ones who want to join, depending on the day I may go before they get up or Daddy might be home to take care of those boys not wanting to go for a walk with Mama)! I also need to make sure I am tracking my food intake somehow and also need to ensure I am eating 3 full meals and at least 2 small snacks a day! Does any one have any ideas on how I could get going with this diet better? It is basically a low carbohydrate, Atkins-like diet.

Oh, I also found that I am super into the second book in my 2 book series for my BzzCampaign! Being a BzzAgent is Awesome! I just wish I could get on more campaigns! I am only on my second one! I will be posting a review here on both my Kindle Books, The Hangman's Daughter and The Dark Monk, A Hangman's Daughter Tale. I was not too into The Hangman's Daughter from page one. The Dark Monk is another story though, only a few pages into it, but I LOVE it! I am struggling with the fact that I still need to read my most recent Sookie Stackhouse Novel, But I will get to it after the Baby Shower and After my BzzCampaign!

So much for typing up a quick and short blog tonight LOL.... For now, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and families! I will try my hardest to post some of the pictures of gifts after the shower so that everyone can see my craftier side! He he he! But, like I said, for now... The suspense wont hurt you too bad! Or all least I hope it wont! Until another day....
